Book Review-Letters from a father to his daughter by Jawahar Lal Nehru

Finished reading this book “Letters from a father to his daughter” a timeless collection of letters by Jawaharlal Nehru. This 30 letters long, small and thin book was written to Indira Gandhi when she was merely 8-9 years old. I remember reading one of these letters in my Hindi text book when I was in school.(not sure about the grade). Since then I was keen to read all the letters. However it took fairly  long but got a chance to devour the book. Even though book was written long ago its content is fresh and novel and still relevant today. The book briefs about the evolution of earth and life and how the early man and civilization developed . And also, how the language and religion came into existence. It also gives an idea about Nehru’s passion and fervor for world and and it’s people and his understanding and perception about history of civilization and culture. Indira Gandhi was curious and interested to know about the things that happened around her in her early years. To me this is an endeavor of a father to quench the thirst of questions of his inquisitive daughter in a beautiful and warm way.
