Book Review- Where The Forest Meets The Star By Glendy Vanderah

It’s a unique story of a little girl and her love and trust in two strangers who she meets accidentally during her run for life.

Joanna, a cancer survivor who recently lost her mother, is shocked by the sudden appearance of a little girl on her porch. The innocence and purity of the girl melt her heart and somewhere it helps her fill the void created by the loss of her mother.

As the story unfolds, this takes us to other realms where the cleverness and wit of the little mysterious girl come into the picture and makes us believe her claim of belonging to another planet.

Although Joanna and Gabriel were a little skeptical about her whereabouts as time went by, the lives of the trio take a beautiful turn and the little girl becomes an integral part of Joanna’s household.

The conviction with which the author has portrayed all the characters and their emotions and dilemmas are commendable for a debut novel.

A story created by skillfully interweaving fantasy with some real-life problems. Truly a story where love, faith, and humanity triumph. The title of the book is one of the reasons I chose to read this book.
