Book Review-The dead lie down by Sophie Hannah

Just finished reading this book. It’s a psychological suspense thriller. I relish crime thrillers and this book is far cry from those I had been reading so far. This is my first book from the author and certainly would love to read more of her compositions. The story is full of twists and turns and shows all gamut of emotions.
A story, when love and loyalty had just started to flourish between Ruth Bussey and Aidan Seed suddenly turns into a nightmare when Aidan Seed confides in her that he has murdered a woman named Mary Trelease years ago. Ruth, confused and shocked, knew in corner of her mind, that the lady, her boyfriend is confessing to have murdered is very much alive unhurt, unharmed in one piece. Sergeant zailer and DC waterhouse(both are cops and are engaged to each other) also get worked up to uncover the sinister truth behind this murder mystery. And while unraveling the mysterious subject each character’s past and present get crashed with each other. And as the story progresses , layers of mysteries start to unfold, giving the plot an unpredictable ending.
It’s certainly a page turner but a couple of times I was confused and lost in its convoluted storyline but nonetheless it’s a captivating whodunnit that kept me guessing till the end and I found hard to put it down.
